Frequently Asked Questions
How many teams should I have in my league and how many contestants should be on each team?
It’s completely up to the commissioner to determine how many teams to invite to the league. Some leagues have as many as 12 teams, others have only 2 teams playing head-to-head, and everything in between.
The number of contestants per team will depend on how many teams you have in your league.
We like to play with at least 2 contestants per team, but it’s up to you. It's ok if you have some leftover contestants that don't get picked (just like in real sports - not everyone makes a team), so the numbers don’t have to be exact.
For example, if there are 24 contestants and you have…
- 12 teams in your league, each team will have 2 contestants.
- 11 teams in your league, each team will have 2 contestants and 2 contestants will go undrafted.
- 10 teams in your league, each team will have 2 contestants and 4 contestants will go undrafted.
- 9 teams in your league, each team will have 2 contestants and 6 contestants will go undrafted.
- 8 teams in your league, each team will have 3 contestants.
- 7 teams in your league, each team will have 3 contestants and 3 contestants will go undrafted, etc.
Some commissioners like to wait and see how many contestants are on the show before determining how many teams to have in a league, but, again, it’s completely up to you.
How should I conduct the draft?
Most commissioners organize the draft either over email or in person with their league. We don’t yet have a draft feature that lives within the site, but we’re working on it. Until then, you can lead the draft and have your friends make picks in a group email, text, through the league message board, or the next time you’re all together.
We recommend 2 methods, either a traditional snake draft or a random selection draft.
Can more than one team select the same contestant?
At this time, no, a contestant can only be on (and earn points for) one team. Just like in real sports, a player can only play for one team at a time.
We’ve completed the draft and made our picks! Now how do I assign contestants to teams?
When you’re ready to assign contestants to teams, click “Manage League” on your main league standings page (this link is visible only to commissioners). You’ll then see a list of all the contestants, each with a drop-down menu of all the teams in your league. Use the drop-downs to assign a team to every contestant. Once you have selected a team for every contestant (or “Undrafted” if a contestant didn’t get picked for a team), click “Submit Rosters” one time and then you’re done!
Is there a deadline to set our league rosters?
No deadline whatsoever. Create a league and join in to play at anytime.
Are the points updated automatically?
Yes! You create the league, invite your friends, and hold the draft. We take care of the rest.
When do the points begin to count?
Episode 1 of the season is for scouting (pay attention and take notes). Points begin to count during Episode 2.
When are the points posted?
We post the points first thing in the morning after an episode to avoid spoilers across time zones.
How do I change my team name?
From your main league standings page, click on your team listed on the left-hand side. Then click “Edit Team Name.” Type in your new team name (maximum 20 characters) and click “Submit Team Name.” That’s it!

I’m returning for the new season, how do I get my league points back to zero?
Create a new league to automatically connect to the current season and start your points at zero. After signing in, click “Create League” on the home page, name your league and team, and invite your friends.
Creating a new league each season will allow you to make any changes to your team invites and also preserve and save your prior league info.
